Standard’s Text Pre-described Finding PDFcodethe atmospheric pressure in personnelcompartments will be less than 700 hPa shall notbe commenced unless sufficient stored breathingoxygen is carried to supply:a) all crew members and 10 per cent of thepassengers for any period in excess of 30 minutesthat the pressure in compartments occupied bythem will be between 700 hPa and 620 hPa; andb) the crew and passengers for any period that theatmospheric pressure in compartments occupiedby them will be less than 620 hPa.A6-I-4.3.8.2 A flight to be operated with a pressurizedaeroplane shall not be commenced unless asufficient quantity of stored breathing oxygen iscarried to supply all the crew members andpassengers, as is appropriate to thecircumstances of the flight being undertaken, inthe event of loss of pressurization, for any periodthat the atmospheric pressure in any compartmentoccupied by them would be less than 700 hPa. Inaddition, when an aeroplane is operated at flightaltitudes at which the atmospheric pressure is lessthan 376 hPa, or which, if operated at flightaltitudes at which the atmospheric pressure ismore than 376 hPa and cannot descend safelywithin four minutes to a flight altitude at which theatmospheric pressure is equal to 620 hPa, thereshall be no less than a 10-minute supply for theoccupants of the passenger compartment.A6-I-6.7.1 An aeroplane intended to be operated at flightaltitudes at which the atmospheric pressure is lessthan 700 hPa in personnel compartments shall beequipped with oxygen storage and dispensingapparatus capable of storing and dispensing theoxygen supplies required in Annex 6 Part IChapter 4.3.8.1.Instructions for completingthe detailed descriptionthe situation observed<strong>SAFA</strong> Coordination Section Page 89 of 217© European Aviation Safety Agency, 2012 V 2.0
