Petrol filling stations - The location of the petrol filling stations and its layoutshall be approved by the Authority in consultation with the Director, Town and CountryPlanning, Government of Madhya Pradesh depending upon the width of roads,normal value of traffic location with respect to points of intersection and proximity tooccupancies of educational, assembly, mercantile storage and hazardous uses.93. Signs and outdoor display structure - Provisions of Code to apply - (1)Subject to these rule, the display of advertising signs on building and lands shall be inaccordance with Part-X - "Signs and Outdoor Display structures" of the Code asrevised from time to time.(2) In the case of shopping units in commercial areas and/or residential-cumcommercialbuildings, the display boards shall be at the same height above theshopping arcade and shall ordinarily be 45.5 centimeters to 61 centimeters in height.The placement and size of the boards shall from a part of the building plan permissionand no change therein shall be permitted nor shall any additional boards be allowedto be displayed.(3) General - The following signs are prohibited along National Highways StateHighways, and other major roads of width exceeding 18 meters :-(a)(b)(c)(d)any sign that by reason of its shape, position or colour may be confusedwith an authorised traffic sign or signal;any sign containing the word "Stop", "Look", "Danger" or other similarword that might mislead or confuse the travelers;any sign that is attached to or printed on a rock or other natural objects;andany sign that is located within a public right-of-way unless it is an officialstreet name, traffic signs or signal or other official sign.(4) Ground Signs - Following provisions shall apply for ground signs within anyarea to which these rules apply :-(a) Dimensions - No ground sign shall be erected to a height exceeding 9meters above the ground. Lighting reflections may extend beyond thetop of face of the sign.(b)Supports and Anchorage - Every ground sign shall be firmly supportedand anchored to the ground. Supports and anchors shall be of treatedtimber in accordance with good practice or metal treated for corrosionresistance or masonry or concrete;109
