M.P.Bhumi Vikas Niyam, <strong>1984</strong>(c) If such interior or exterior open air space is jointly owned by more than oneperson, then its width shall also be as specified in rule 59 provided that every suchperson agrees in writing to allow his portion of such joint open air space to be used forthe benefit of every building abutting on such joint open air space and provided hesends such written consent to the Authority for record. Such common open spaceshall henceforth be treated as a permanently open air space required for the purposesof these rules. No. boundary wall between such joint open air space shall be erectedor raised to a height of more than 2.0 meters.57. Open spaces for other occupancies.- Open spaces or other occupanciesshall be as follows :-(a)(b)Educational Buildings. - Except for nursery school, the open spacesaround the building shall be not less than 6 meters.Institutional Building.- The open spaces around the building shall notbe less than 6 meters. and(c) Assembly Building.- The open space at front shall not be less than 12meters and the other spaces around the building shall not be less than6 meters.Note.- However if assembly buildings are permitted in purely residential zones, theopen spaces around the building shall not be less than 12 meters.(d)(e)(f)Business, Mercantile and Storage Buildings- The open spacesaround buildings shall not be less than 4.5 meters. Where these aresituated in purely residential zone or residential with shops line zone, theopen spaces may be relaxed.Industrial Buildings. - The open spaces around the building shall notbe less than 4.5 meters for heights up to 16 meters with an increase ofthe open spaces of 0.25 meters for every increase of 1 meter or fractionthereof in height above 16 meters.Hazardous Occupancies. - The open space around the building shallbe as specified for industrial buildings [see clause (e) above].58. Projections.- (1) Projection into open spaces- Every open space providedeither interior or exterior shall be kept free from erection thereon and shall be open tothe sky except as below :-(a)Cornice, roof or weather shade not more than 0.75 meter wide;(b) Sunshade over window/ventilators or other openings not more than 0.75meters wide;60
