M.P.Bhumi Vikas Niyam, <strong>1984</strong>meter in width over footpaths at a height not lower than 3.65 meters from the centerline of the street.(4) Porticos in existing developed area. - Porticos in Bazar areas of existingdeveloped areas may be permitted to project on road land subject to the followinglimitations :-(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)porticos may be allowed on such roads leaving a minimum clear spaceof 19 meters between kerbs;it shall not be less than 3 meters wide;nothing shall be allowed to be constructed on the portion which shall beused as an open terrace;nothing shall be allowed to project beyond the line or arcades; andthe space under the portico shall be paved and channeled according tothe directions of the authority.(5) Sunshades over windows and ventilators.- Projections of sunshades overwindows or ventilators in existing built-up or congested areas when permitted by theAuthority shall fulfill the following conditions :-(a)(b)(c)No sun-shade shall be permitted over the road or over any drain or overany portion outside the boundaries of the site below a height of 2.8meters from the road level;Sunshades provided above a height of 2.8 meters from the ground levelshall be permitted to project up to a maximum width of 60 centimeters ofthe road over which they project exceeds 9 meters in width; andNo Sunshade shall be permitted on roads less than 9 meters width oron roads having no footpath.59. Limitation to open spaces - (1) Safeguard against reduction of openspaces- No construction work on a building shall be allowed if such work operates toreduce an open air space of any other adjoining building belonging to the same ownerto an extent less than what is prescribed at the time of the proposed work or to reducefurther such open space if it is already less than that prescribed.(2) Additions or Extensions to a building.- Additions or extensions of buildingshall be allowed provided the open spaces for the additions or extensions wouldsatisfy rule 56 after such additions or extensions are made.60. Group housing.- (1) Multi-storied blocks to be preferred- Group housingdevelopment may preferably be in multistoried blocks; it shall not be a customary subdivisionof land into streets and plots.
