M.P.Bhumi Vikas Niyam, 1984* 83 FIRE PROTECTION REQUIRMENTS :-(a)(b)(c)The Government may designate a person or body to be designated asthe "Fire Authority".No high rise building shall be approved unless cleared, in writing by theFire Authority.Every building shall be designed and constructed to ensure fire safetyand this shall be done in accordance with part IV.Fire Protection:– "of the code as revised from time to time. In the case of high risebuilding and buildings with more than 400 sq. meters ground coverage and all otherbuildings of industrial, storage, assembly and hazardous type, this building schemeshall conform to Schedule I of these rules".** 84. "Structural Design"- The Structural design of foundation, masonry, timber,plain concrete, rein-forced concrete, pre-stressed concrete and structural steel shallbe carried out in accordance with "Part-VI Structural Design, Section 1-Loads, Section2- Foundation, Section 3- Wood, Section 4- Masonry, Section 5- Concrete, Section 6-Steel of National Building Code of India, taking in to consideration all relevant IndianStandards prescribed by Bureau of Indian Standards including the Indian Standardsgiven below:----For Earthquake prone areas in 15 districts namely, Sidhi, Shahdol, Jabalpur,Damoh, Narsinghpur, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Betul Sehore, Dewas, East Nimad,West Nimad, Indore Dhar and Jhabua and such other districts, as may be notifiedfrom time to time as earth quake prone areas the structural design must be inaccordance with :----1. For R.C.C. Construction and Pucca-brick construction(i) IS : 1893 - 1986(ii) IS : 13920 - 1993 (to be read with IS : 456, IS : 1893)(iii) IS : 4326 - 1993 (to be read with IS ; 1893)2. For low strength masonry or clay, mud and blocks(iv) IS : 13827 - 1993(v) IS : 13828 - 19933. For Repair and Strengthening(vi) IS : 13935 - 19934.
