M.P.Bhumi Vikas Niyam, <strong>1984</strong>(c)(d)(e)(f)the minimum height of the ceiling of any basement shall be 0.9 meterand maximum of 1.2 Meters above the average surrounding groundlevel;adequate arrangements shall be made such the surface drainage doesnot enter the basement;the walls and floors of the basement shall be watertight and be sodesigned but the effect of the surrounding soil and moisture, if any, aretaken into account in design and adequate damp proofing treatment isgiven; andthe excess to the basement shall be separate from the main andalternate staircase providing access and exit from higher floors. Wherethe staircase is continuous incase of building served by more than onestaircase the same shall be of enclosed type serving as a fire separationform the basement floor and higher floors. Open ramps shall bepermitted if they are constructed within the building line subject to theprovision of clause (d).1 (5) The construction of multi level basement shall be allowed by authority inaccordance with land use and other provisions specified under these rulessubject to the condition that:-(a)(b)2 (6) Omitted.The minimum frontage of the plot shall be 21 Meters and the minimumaverage depth be 30 Meters and such plots abuts 18 Meters vide road,andThey shall be allowed only in detached buildings.74. Parapet.- Parapet walls and handrails provided on the edges of roofs terraces,balcony or verandah shall not be less than 1.05 meters in height from, thefinished floor level.75. Boundary Wall- The requirements of boundary wall are given below:-(a)except with the special permission of the Authority, the maximum heightof the compound wall shall be 1.5 Meters above the center line of thefront street. Compound wall up to 2.4 Meters height may be permitted ifthe top 0.9 meters of open type construction of a design to be approvedby the Authority;1 Notification No.23 (107)-95-XXXII, dt. 7-4-2000, Gazette dt.28-4-20002 NB: Sub-rule (6) of Rule 73 is omitted vide Notification No.F-3-80-2004-XXXII, dt.26-4-2205, Gazette dt.6-5-2005.72
