M.P.Bhumi Vikas Niyam, <strong>1984</strong>(b)(c)the rear and side compound walls shall not have a height more than3Meters above the central line of the service road in case it exists otherwise 2 Meters shall be measured above the central line of the frontstreet, In case of a corner plot the height of the boundary wall abuttingon the side road shall also not be more than 1.5 Meters till the court yardwidth starts; andthe provisions of (a) and (b) are not applicable to boundary walls of jails,electric sub-stations, transformer stations, institutional buildings, likesanatoria, hospitals, industrial buildings like work-shops, factories andeducational buildings like schools, colleges, including the hostels andother uses of public utility undertaking, where height up to 2.4 Metersmay be permitted by the Authority.76. Septic Tanks.- Where a septic tank is used for sewage disposal, the location,design and construction of the septic tank shall conform, to the followingrequirements;-(b)(c)(d)(e)(i) Location of Septic Tanks and Sub-Surface absorption systems.- Asub-soil dispersion system shall not be within 18 Meters from anysource of drinking water, such as well, to mitigate the possibility ofbacterial pollution of water supply. It shall also be as removed from thenearest habitable building as economically feasible but not within 2Meters thereof so that there is no damage to the structures.(ii) Other Requirements. (a) Dimensions of septic tanks.- Septic tanksshall have minimum width of 75 centimeters minimum depth of onemeter below the water level and a minimum liquid capacity of one cubicmeter. Length of tanks shall be 2 to 4 times the width;septic tanks may be constructed of brick work stone masonry concreteor other suitable materials as approved by the Authority;under no circumstances should effluent from a septic tank be allowedinto an open channel drain or body of water without adequate treatment;minimum nominal diameter of pipe shall be 100 millimeters. Further atjunctions of pipes in manholes, direction of flow from a branchconnection should not make an angle exceeding 45 degrees with thedirection of flow in the main pipe;the gradients of land drains, under-drainage as well as the bottom ofdispersion trenches and soak ways should be between 1: 300 and 1:400 :73
