Table 8.9shows that paraffin was the main source of fuel for lighting. It was used both in theparaffin candles commonly known as tadooba 8* (76 percent) and lantern (11 percent).Use of electricity as the main source for lighting was reported by only eight (8) percentof all households. The table further shows that 39 percent of the urban householdsused electricity for lighting compared to only 3 percent in the rural areas.
