The results are displayed in Table 9.16 and they revealthat about a third of young people were engaged in services. Young persons workingas professionals constituted 16 percent, while the proportion of those engaged inelementary occupation was 19 percent.Variations by age group show that the higher proportions (44 percent) of the youngpopulation aged 10-13 years were agricultural workers. This proportion decreasesdrastically to 10 percent for the age group 14 - 30 years.113
