Make sure thefollowing issues are mentioned :• A person’s partner could still be HIV-negative, so the couple couldstill prevent a new infection.• HIV-positive people need to disclose their HIV status to sexualpartners and engage in safe sex in order to prevent passing theirinfection to others.Facilitator’s Guide3Adherence to Treatment for HIV• A person can become reinfected with a different type of HIV froma partner. This can make a person’s immune system weaker.• A person can become reinfected with a drug resistant HIV virus.3.
