You are visiting a man who recentlytested for HIV with his wife. When the couple received theirresults, the man learned that he was HIV-positive, but his wifewas HIV-negative. The man still does not understand how thiscould happen. Try to help the man understand how he could beHIV-positive while his wife is not. Also, help the man understandwhy he needs to use condoms to protect his wife from infection.Group TwoDisclosureYou are a peer educator. A woman recently tested for HIV whenshe was pregnant. Her results were positive. Her doctor toldher that she should inform her husband of the results andencourage her husband to also test for HIV. The woman doesnot know how to bring up the issue with her husband and isscared of how her husband may react. Try to help the womanidentify a plan for talking with her husband.68
