requirements, the HSU Professional Level II<br />
Credential program will allow candidates to<br />
substitute non-university activities (e.g., districtsponsored<br />
trainings, institutes, workshops) for<br />
up to six units of emphasis courses. The nonuniversity<br />
activities may be taken for university<br />
credit, but they need not be. Candidates should<br />
consult with their HSU Level II advisor for prior<br />
approval of any substitutions.<br />

The Program<br />
<strong>Humboldt</strong> <strong>State</strong>’s Administrative Serv ices<br />
Program prepares educators for administrative<br />
leadership roles in K-<strong>12</strong> schools.<br />
Many of the courses are taught by local administrators<br />
who strive to create a unique<br />
blend of theory and practice.<br />
Procedures for Applying<br />
Those seeking admission to the Level I Preliminary<br />
Administrative Service Credential program<br />
must submit the following documents<br />
to the program leader/coordinator:<br />
n a completed application for admission to<br />
the Level I program<br />
n a copy of a valid teaching or pupil personnel<br />
services credential<br />
n two letters of recommendation for admission<br />
into the administrative credential<br />
program: one from the student’s current<br />
supervisor and one from another administrator<br />
n documentation of having completed one<br />
year upon entry—and, by comple tion of<br />
credential requirements, three years—of<br />
successful, full-time teaching or pupil<br />
personnel experience in public or private<br />
schools<br />
n transcripts verifying a university gradepoint<br />
average of 2.75 on the last 60<br />
semester units<br />

All students must:<br />
document that a district is willing to<br />
support the fieldwork by completing a<br />
fieldwork plan sheet with approval signatures<br />
from district and university<br />
supervisors<br />
successfully complete the California<br />
Basic Education Skills Test<br />
maintain a 3.0 GPA (with no grade lower<br />
than a C-) in the following re quired<br />
