ART 337. Intermediate Photography (3). Fine<br />
art photography as medium of personal expression.<br />
Mastery of camera controls and darkroom<br />

ART 340. Intermediate Graphic Design (3).<br />
Emphasizing the print publication field, students<br />
work with InDesign, Quark, and the importance of<br />
digital images from Illustrator and Photoshop. Prepress<br />
preparation for advertisements, multi-page<br />
publications, posters, and large-format graphics.<br />

ART 343. Advanced Graphic Design (3). Advanced<br />
course to prepare for the professional<br />
world including creation of a portfolio, both traditional<br />
and electronic, and new issues in graphic<br />

ART 345. Metals (3). Concentrates on metal<br />
fabrication techniques such as welding (gas, MIG,<br />
TIG, stick), cutting (plasma, OXY/fuel), bending<br />
and smithing; and metal casting techniques for<br />
aluminum and bronze such as bonded sand and<br />
ceramic shell processes. Mold making, wax working,<br />
gating, pouring, and finishing. [Prereq: ART<br />

ART 346. Materials & Methods (3). Concentrates<br />
on mixed media processes and the figure.<br />
Students learn a wide range of processes and<br />
formats such as: cold casting (resins, plaster,<br />
