Endoscopic Management of Colon Lesions
Chair: Daniel von Renteln, MD | Co-Chair: Michael Wallace, MD
SESSION DESCRIPTION
The efficacy of endoscopic colorectal cancer prevention relies on the detection and removal of adenomatous colorectal
polyps. This session will describe the current evidence on how to optimize endoscopic colorectal cancer screening, and
how to select the right diagnostic and therapeutic tools to manage colon polyps appropriately.
SESSION OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
• Understand and use the most appropriate colon cancer screening method depending on patient risk factors
• Apply strategies to improve adenoma detection rates
• Select appropriate polypectomy methods for complete and safe resection of colon polyps
• Describe the follow-up and surveillance of patients after treatment of colon cancer
