SESSION DESCRIPTION<br />
The global obesity epidemic is worsening. Endolumenal technologies are emerging as both index treatments for<br />
morbid obesity as well as assessment and revisional modalities to address complications of previous bariatric<br />
surgeries. Familiarity with these technologies is imperative for surgeons who wish to provide the latest in minimally<br />
invasive care for these challenging patients.<br />
SESSION OBJECTIVES<br />
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:<br />
• Recognize the characterisitcs of an appropriate candidate for endolumenal index treatment of obesity<br />
• Manage a hemorrhage/perforation scenario using endoscopic modalities<br />
• Implement an endolumenal treatment plan for chronic leak following bariatric surgery<br />

Stricture: Balloon dilation and needle knife stricturoplasty<br />
Endosleeve gastroplasty/Ulcer/Perforation: Suturing and Endoscopic suturing<br />
(Index and revisional/rescue procedures)<br />
Leak management: Tubular stents and Pigtail drains<br />
Leak management: Endovacuum treatment<br />
Post bariatric procedure GERD: RFA<br />
Intragastric balloon/Gastric aspiration<br />
Eroded Band Removal<br />
Lab - personal engagement of each of the stations<br />
COURSE CRITERIA<br />
Participants should have at least baseline experience<br />
with diagnostic upper endoscopy.<br />
