SESSION DESCRIPTION<br />

We are proud to introduce a new venue for novel ideas and for innovation to the <strong>SAGES</strong> annual meeting; the Shark<br />

Tank. The Shark Tank forum is meant to be an opportunity for innovators and companies to be able to showcase their<br />

non-marketed innovative ideas and concepts. This venue will allow for you and your company to receive feedback from<br />

an expert panel of innovators, investors, and larger companies in a safe environment so that you can further refine<br />

your concept and pitch to make success more probable.<br />

SESSION DESCRIPTION<br />

This session is for students, residents and practicing endoscopic surgeons who have ever said “What do I do with<br />

this?” In the tradition of the Wild West, this session highlights a collection of “wild”, but inspiring, cases that required<br />

innovative thinking or bold surgical adventure.<br />

SESSION OBJECTIVES<br />

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:<br />

• Formulate a minimally invasive/endoscopic surgery management plan for unique and challenging surgical problems<br />

• Identify minimally invasive options to solve novel clinical problems and rare clinical situations<br />

• Manage difficult clinical cases and complications with an MIS first approach<br />
