SESSION DESCRIPTION
Laparoscopic liver resection is now utilized for not only select cases of benign liver masses, but also primary and
metastatic liver tumors, and live donor hepatectomy for liver transplantation. This session will provide an overview of
the indications and techniques of laparoscopic liver resection. The session will include educational videos and a Liver
Tumor Board of 4 challenging liver tumor cases.
SESSION OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
• Describe indications for laparoscopic liver resection
• Develop safe and oncologically sound minimally invasive liver resection techniques
• Assess short and long term outcomes of laparoscopic liver resection
