SESSION DESCRIPTION<br />

Enteral access is one of the most common endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures performed by general surgeons.<br />

Safe performance of enteral access requires an understanding of the appropriate indications, procedural steps,<br />

and management of complications. This session, through video-based presentations, will provide a comprehensive<br />

overview for surgeons and surgical endoscopists of all skill levels.<br />

SESSION OBJECTIVES<br />

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:<br />

• Compare endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques for obtaining enteral access<br />

• Identify management options for early complications of enteral access<br />

• Formulate a strategy for treating delayed complications of enteral access<br />
