SESSION DESCRIPTION
Enteral access is one of the most common endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures performed by general surgeons.
Safe performance of enteral access requires an understanding of the appropriate indications, procedural steps,
and management of complications. This session, through video-based presentations, will provide a comprehensive
overview for surgeons and surgical endoscopists of all skill levels.
SESSION OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
• Compare endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques for obtaining enteral access
• Identify management options for early complications of enteral access
• Formulate a strategy for treating delayed complications of enteral access
