SESSION DESCRIPTION
Resection remains the cornerstone of any curative treatment plan for gastric cancer, and more frequently a
laparoscopic approach is being adopted as the preferred method. As there are numerous operative variables for every
step of the procedure, this session will highlight technical tips from leading gastric cancer surgeons with differing
perspectives from across the Globe.
SESSION OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
• Describe the technical steps required for a safe and effective laparoscopic gastrectomy for cancer
• Critically evaluate their own surgical approach to the minimally invasive gastrectomy
• Integrate newly learned technical tips into clinical practice
