the Masters - Re-Do Anti-Reflux Surgery<br />

SESSION DESCRIPTION<br />

Re-operative antireflux surgery is an essential option tool to prevent recurrent reflux in patients with late failures of<br />

a fundoplication as well as to correct certain types of early complications from an anti-reflux procedure. This session<br />

addresses the scenarios where re-operative surgery is most likely to be beneficial and will illustrate the techniques that<br />

are most useful to conduct re-operations safely and successfully.<br />

SESSION OBJECTIVES<br />

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:<br />

• Identy remediable causes of fundoplication failures<br />

• Employ safe techniques to identify altered post fundoplication anatomy and be able to restore normal anatomy as<br />

part of a reoperation<br />

• Be able to emply multiple techniques for re-operative fundoplication that are tailored to the problem being adressed<br />
