SESSION DESCRIPTION<br />
The fourth annual military symposium will showcase the premier research conducted by surgical trainees in the<br />
United States Army, Navy and Air Force. This complete Tri-service program will include a keynote lecture by a senior<br />
active duty executive officer as well as national leaders in advancing surgical quality initiatives. Participants will have a<br />
unique opportunity to ask high-ranking leaders timely questions regarding career mentoring, in garrison practice and<br />
the future of military surgery in combat.<br />
SESSION OBJECTIVES<br />
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:<br />
• Optimally manage their clinical, academic, and surgical skills<br />
• Apply state-of-the-art technology and surgical technique to military surgical care<br />
• Collaborate with surgeons of all levels of training in the military surgical community<br />
• Integrate quality surgical initiatives to improve patient safety and surgical outcomes<br />
