Military Surgical Symposium

SESSION DESCRIPTION
The fourth annual military symposium will showcase the premier research conducted by surgical trainees in the
United States Army, Navy and Air Force. This complete Tri-service program will include a keynote lecture by a senior
active duty executive officer as well as national leaders in advancing surgical quality initiatives. Participants will have a
unique opportunity to ask high-ranking leaders timely questions regarding career mentoring, in garrison practice and
the future of military surgery in combat.
SESSION OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
• Optimally manage their clinical, academic, and surgical skills
• Apply state-of-the-art technology and surgical technique to military surgical care
• Collaborate with surgeons of all levels of training in the military surgical community
• Integrate quality surgical initiatives to improve patient safety and surgical outcomes
