SESSION DESCRIPTION
New robotic platforms can be associated with a significant learning curve and and numerous implementation
obstacles related to team building. This session will focus on simulation, augmented virtual reality, procedure specific
modules and team training as adjuncts to new robotic platforms that may help surgeons and their teams overcome the
learning curve.
SESSION OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
• Appreciate the value of robotic specific procedure simulation
• Understand the value of team training to overcome the learning curve
• Describe the pros and cons of new robotic platforms
