SESSION DESCRIPTION
In this session we will walk through a distal pancreatectomy, step by step, with leading experts in the field. The experts
will show videos of their approach and the panel will discuss the key technical differences - pro’s and con’s.
SESSION OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
• Appreciate what experts consider to be the key steps of a distal pancreatectomy
• Compare alternative techniques for performing the key steps of a distal pancreatectomy
• Understand the advantages and disadvantages of different approaches to the key steps of a distal pancreatectomy
