Your Session: Abdominal Wall Hernia - Provocative
Questions in the Practice of Hernia Repair
Chair: Gina Adrales, MD, MPH | Co-Chair: Guy Voeller, MD
SESSION DESCRIPTION
Hernia repair is an increasingly common operation, with over 350,000 ventral hernia repairs being performed annually
topics in hernia surgery selected by SAGES members.
SESSION OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
• Describe laparotomy closure techniques to prevent incisional hernias
• Employ new strategies to prevent and effectively treat parastomal hernias
