Page Layout<br />

View All Pages<br />

1. On the Page tab, click Edit in the Edit group, and then click Page Layout in the<br />

Page Actions group.<br />

2. Scroll down, and under Welcome Page, an orange rectangle surrounds Summary<br />

Links. Click Splash.<br />

Tip In the Page Layout list, the page layouts are grouped by content type. In the Create<br />

Page Web page, the content type is displayed in brackets, and the names of the page<br />

layouts are to the right of the bracket.<br />

The Welcome page is displayed, with no Page Content field and the Pages XLV Web<br />

Part in the Bottom Right Web Part zone. Web Parts are placed in the Web Part<br />

zone that was last added to the page layout. When there are no Web Part zones on<br />

a page layout, the Web Parts are saved in the Closed Web Part gallery.<br />

3. On the Page tab, click Page Layout, and then under Welcome, click Summary<br />

Links.<br />

The Welcome page is redisplayed. The Page Content field appears with the text you<br />

entered in the previous exercise.<br />

4. On the Page tab, click View All Pages in the Page Library group.<br />

The All Documents view of the Pages library is displayed. Two files are listed, Default<br />

and Welcome. The Welcome page is checked out to you.<br />

Edit Columns<br />

5. Click Site Actions, and then click Edit in SharePoint Designer.<br />

The site opens in SharePoint Designer.<br />

6. On the Navigation pane, click Lists and Libraries, and then under Document<br />

Libraries, click Pages.<br />

The list settings page is displayed in the workspace. In the Content Types area the<br />

Article Page, Folder, Page, and Welcome Page content types are displayed.<br />

7. In the Content Types area, click Page, and then on the Content Type Settings<br />

tab, click Edit content type columns.<br />

The Columns editor page is displayed with the following columns listed: Name,<br />

Title, Comments, Scheduling Start Date, Scheduling End Date, Contact, Contact<br />

E-mail Address, Contact Name, Contact Picture, Variation Group ID, Variation<br />

Relationship Link, Rollup Image, and Target Audiences.
