Renewable Energy<br />

The Renewable Energy Division has the mission of developing<br />

and managing operations for the generation of<br />

electricity from renewable resources, ensuring their integration<br />

within the Group in line with the <strong>Enel</strong> Group’s<br />

strategies. The geographical areas of operation for this<br />

Division are:<br />

> Italy and the rest of Europe, with power generation<br />

from non-schedulable hydroelectric plants, as well as<br />

geothermal, wind and solar plants in Italy (<strong>Enel</strong> Green<br />

Power), Greece (<strong>Enel</strong> Green Power Hellas), France (<strong>Enel</strong><br />

Green Power France), Romania (<strong>Enel</strong> Green Power Romania)<br />

and Bulgaria (<strong>Enel</strong> Green Power Bulgaria), and<br />

plant and franchising activities in Italy (<strong>Enel</strong>.si);<br />

€171 million in greater investments in generation plants,<br />

mainly attributable to Slovenské elektrárne.<br />

> Iberia and Latin America, with power generation from<br />

renewable sources in Spain and Portugal (<strong>Enel</strong> Green<br />

Power España – formerly Endesa Cogeneración y Renovables<br />

(ECyR) – and <strong>Enel</strong> Unión Fenosa Renovables) and<br />

Latin America (<strong>Enel</strong> Latin America);<br />

> North America, with power generation from renewable<br />

sources (<strong>Enel</strong> North America).<br />

Following the integration of <strong>Enel</strong>’s operations in the renewable<br />

energy sector in Spain and Portugal at the end<br />

of the 1st Quarter of <strong>2010</strong>, ECyR – whose results were reported<br />

in those for the Iberia and Latin America Division<br />

until the reorganization – became part of the Renewable<br />

Energy Division.
