“Reimbursement of stranded costs for Nigerian gas” in<br />

2009 regards amounts received in respect of reimbursement<br />

of irrecoverable costs in respect of Nigerian gas for<br />

generation plants. As from January 1, <strong>2010</strong>, the right to<br />

reimbursement expired and so no revenues for this item<br />

have been recognized for <strong>2010</strong>.<br />

“Cost contributions and other fees” regard revenues on<br />

certain connections to the electricity and gas networks.<br />

“Sundry reimbursements” include €42 million paid by customers<br />

(€152 million in 2009).<br />

“Gains on disposal of assets” amounted to €127 million<br />

in <strong>2010</strong> and largely <strong>com</strong>prise the gain on the sale of the<br />

Spanish high-voltage grid (€55 million) and the gain on<br />

the sale of 80% of the gas distribution assets in Spain (€15<br />

million). In 2009 gains on the disposal of assets came to<br />

€363 million, accounted for by the gain on the sale of <strong>Enel</strong><br />

Linee Alta Tensione (ELAT) on April 1, 2009 (€295 million)<br />

and the gain on the sale of 51% of SeverEnergia on September<br />

23, 2009 (€68 million).
