optimization and <strong>com</strong>mercial actions in all carbon<br />
credit markets;<br />
- Gas: creation of a Gas Supply Committee responsible<br />
for ensuring the achievement of synergies and<br />
optimization of the <strong>Enel</strong> and Endesa gas portfolios<br />
through close coordination between these two <strong>com</strong>panies;<br />
- Upstream Gas: creation of an Upstream Gas Committee<br />
responsible for examining upstream activities in<br />
order to ensure that they are in line with the demand<br />
for gas within the Group;<br />
- Coal, Liquids and Freight: central coordination<br />
through the selection of a Group lead buyer to ensure<br />
that procurement needs are met, costs are optimized,<br />
and Group synergies are achieved;<br />
> work has continued towards achieving the functional<br />
separation of the distribution activities of the Infrastructure<br />
and Networks Division in <strong>com</strong>pliance with<br />
unbundling regulations;<br />
> with regard to the International Division, work continues<br />
to integrate and rationalize the various businesses<br />
acquired, in part by aligning procedures within the various<br />
countries with the operating rules and principles<br />
established in the Integration Handbook.<br />

Also of note is the definition of a new organizational<br />
structure for the Russian <strong>com</strong>pany <strong>Enel</strong> OGK-5, which<br />
included the creation of the Risk Management unit and<br />
designation of a head of generation operations;<br />
> as regards <strong>Enel</strong> Green Power and its IPO, the system<br />
of procedures has been analyzed in order to verify the<br />
operating requirements that have been established for<br />
<strong>com</strong>panies listed on the markets run by Borsa Italiana.<br />
As a result of this analysis, changes were been made<br />
to the Group’s procedures, and specific organizational<br />
procedures were issued for <strong>Enel</strong> Green Power, with a<br />
focus on key processes such as industrial planning,<br />
budgeting and approval, and investment control.<br />
Finally, with regard to integration:<br />
> the governance arrangements for the Global In <strong>Enel</strong><br />
portal were established for the entire Group. The project<br />
is aimed at creating a new corporate intranet in<br />
order to promote the sharing of projects, culture and<br />
best practices within the Group, thereby enhancing the<br />
sense of belonging to a team and involvement in <strong>com</strong>pany<br />
strategies;<br />
> work continues on implementation of the <strong>Enel</strong> Business<br />
Process Modeling (EBPM) project, the goal of<br />
which is to define and implement an integrated Group<br />
management model for business process modeling,
