Scoring Your CBEST Mini-Test
To score your CBEST Mini-Test, total the number of correct responses for each section of the
test separately. Do not subtract any points for questions attempted but missed, as there is no
penalty for guessing.
Scores on the CBEST are scaled from 20 to 80, and you need to get about 70% of the questions
right to receive a passing score. If you score below the passing mark on one section but your
overall score is above the passing mark, you can pass the exam but only if your scores in each
section meet a minimum threshold.
