Texts 51-52] Talks Between the lord and Ramananda Raya
TRANSLATION
Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu accepted the brahma�a's invitation, know­
ing him to be a devotee, and, slightly smiling, spoke as follows to Ramananda
Ray a.
PURPORT
Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu accepted the invitation of the Vai��ava brahmaQa.
Even though one is a brahmaQa strictly following all the rules and regulations of
brahminical culture, if he is not a devotee, a follower of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu,
one should not accept his invitation. At the present moment, people have be­
come so degraded that they do not even follow the Vedic principles, to say
nothing of Vai��ava principles. They eat anything and everything-whatever they
like-and therefore the members of this Kr��a consciousness movement should
be very cautious about accepting invitations.

tamara mukhe kr�Qa-katha sunite haya mana
punarapi pai yena tamara darasana
SYNONYMS
tamara mukhe-in your mouth; kr�Qa-katha-talks on Kr��a; sunite-to hear;
haya-there is; mana-My mind; punarapi-again; pai-l may get; yena-if
possible; tamara-your; darasana -interview.
TRANSLATION
"I wish to hear from you about lord Kr��a. Indeed, My mind is inclined to
desire this; therefore I wish to see you again."
