giving up; cira-kala-for a long time; vrata-niyama-vows and regulative prin­
ciples; kari'-accepting; tapa-austerity; karila apara-performed unlimitedly.
TRANSLATION
"Just to associate with Kr�r:Ja, Lak�mi abandoned all transcendental happi­
ness in Vaikur:Jtha and for a long time accepted vows and regulative principles
and performed unlimited austerities.''
