SYNONYMS<br />

trimalaya dekhi'-after seeing Trimalaya; ge/a-went; tri-kala-hasti-sthane-to<br />

the place named Trikala-hasti; maha-deva-Lord Siva; dekhi'-seeing; tarire­<br />

unto him; karila pra(1ame-offered obeisances.<br />

TRANSLATION<br />

After visiting Trimalaya, Caitanya Mahaprabhu went to see Trikala-hasti. It<br />

was there that He saw Lord Siva and offered him all respects and obeisances.<br />

PURPORT<br />

Trikala-hasti is situated about twenty-two miles northeast of Tirupati. On its<br />

northern side is a river known as Suvarl)a-mukhi. The temple of Trikala-hasti is<br />

located on the southern side of the river. The place is generally known as Sri<br />

Kalahasti or Kalahasti and is famous for its temple of Lord Siva. There he is called<br />

Vayuliriga-siva.<br />
