6.3.3.1.4 How to disconnect<br />
To disconnect, click on Disconnect in the navigation bar. Your connection has been<br />
deactivated.<br />
Remark:<br />
After 30 minutes of inactivity, disconnection is automatic.<br />
6.3.4 Connecting your e-communication server to the LAN<br />
6.3.4.1 Configuration procedure<br />
The necessary hardware on Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office Communication Server is:<br />
- a CPUe-1/CPUe-2 board<br />
- an ISDN T0 or T2 connector<br />
- a client station connected to the LAN<br />
- a LAN switch (LANX8, LAN X16 or external switch)<br />
The items required on the client terminal are:<br />
- the latest release of the OMC software for the administrator<br />
- an Internet browser: Internet Explorer (release 5 or later) or Netscape Navigator (release 6<br />
or later)<br />
- a subscription to an Internet Service Provider<br />
6.3.4.1.1 <strong>Installation</strong> procedure<br />
1. Start a OMC session on socket RJ45 of the CPU board.<br />
2. Change the IP default address on the Internet Access board to an IP address that is<br />
compatible with the existing LAN.<br />
3. Connect the CPU board to an available RJ45 socket on the LAN using an Ethernet cable.<br />
The IP addresses of the different cards can be accessed through the heading OMC -><br />
PABX Client -> Hardware and limits-> IP cards.<br />
6.3.5 Setting an Internet Connection<br />
6.3.5.1 Configuration procedure<br />
6.3.5.1.1 SUBSCRIPTION TO A ISP<br />
A subscription with an ISP is necessary to access the Internet. After you have subscribed, the<br />
ISP sends you back essential information for installing you Internet access. This information<br />
must be entered when configuring Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office Communication Server.<br />
The information required to install the Internet access varies according to the type of<br />
connection to be established.<br />
