Active Health System The HP Active Health System monitors and records changes in the server hardware and system configuration. The Active Health System assists in diagnosing problems and delivering rapid resolution when system failures occur. In an HP BladeSystem Enclosure the Onboard Administrator provides data related to shared infrastructure components and system settings to the Active Health System located on HP ProLiant Server Blades. HP Active Health System does not collect information about Active Health System user operations, finances, customers, employees, partners, or datacenter (for example, IP addresses, hostnames, usernames, and passwords). Examples of data collected by Onboard Administrator include inventory and status information for the following components and settings: • Enclosure fans • Enclosure power supplies • Interconnect modules • Enclosure midplane • Onboard Administrators • Enclosure power measurements Configuring the HP BladeSystem c7000 enclosure and enclosure devices 102
HP Insight Remote Support Use the Remote Support Registration page to register and enable Insight Remote Support. The connection between the Insight Remote Support capability of the Onboard Administrator and HP is established through an Insight Remote Support hosting server. The Insight Remote Support hosting server must be running Insight Remote Support 7.0 or later. For more information about Insight Remote Support, see the HP Insight Remote Support Installation and Configuration Guide (http://www.hp.com/go/insightremotesupport/docs). When the BladeSystem Enclosure is registered with Insight Remote Support, the following information about the BladeSystem Enclosure shared infrastructure components within the enclosure is sent to HP: • Registration–As part of the enclosure registration process, the Onboard Administrator sends data to uniquely identify the enclosure hardware to the Insight Remote Support hosting server. Examples of data that is collected include: o Enclosure name o Enclosure product name o Enclosure part number o Enclosure serial number o Enclosure manufacturer name o Onboard Administrator firmware version o Onboard Administrator IP and MAC addresses • Service events–As part of the service event process, Onboard Administrator sends data to uniquely identify the relevant hardware component to the Insight Remote Support hosting server. Examples of data that is collected include: o Enclosure model o Enclosure serial number o Part number of the relevant hardware component o Description, location, and other identifying characteristics of the relevant hardware component For more information, see "Service Events ("Insight Remote Support Service Events" on page 105)."
