5. Finally, for the category URBAN DESIGN AND LANDSCAPING:
• El Confital beach restoration, La Isleta.
• El Rincón park.
• Stage for the ‘Concert among containers’ in the port Puerto de La Luz.
The work chosen unanimously was:
• El Confital beach restoration, La Isleta.
After, the jury carry out a joint analysis of each of the proposals shortlisted in the first stage, taking into
account the assessment criteria set forth in the Award conditions. They then proceed to vote those classified
per category:
New residential building:
• Single–family house in Paseo de Chil receives 1 vote.
• House in Puerto de las Nieves receives 4 votes, becoming the finalist.
New building for other uses:
• City of Justice of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, receives 1 vote.
• Centro Integral de Seguridad (Integral Security Centre) in Vecindario, receives 4 votes, becoming the
finalist.
Rehabilitation and restoration:
• Castillo de la Luz Castle–Martín Chirino Foundation in La Isleta. The only project chosen unanimously in
the previous stage.
Interior design:
• Deliciosa Marta Restaurant on Pérez Galdós street, receives 2 votes.
• Puzzle piece. Lomo de la Herradura, receives 3 votes and becomes the finalist.
• 25 m 2 apartment in Las Canteras, receives 0 votes.
Urban design and landscaping:
• El Confital beach restoration, La Isleta. It was the only project selected unanimously in the previous
stage.
Therefore, out of the shortlisted projects, the Jury have chosen the following as the FINALISTS FOR EACH
CATEGORY to the MMFT Award:
New residential building:
• House in Puerto de las Nieves, Agaete.

The Jury highlight its excellent integration with the landscape and urban design, the care for details, its
section and work on 2 storeys, as well as the solution given to combine different purposes, providing the
perfect answer to the different challenges of the initial situation in a small space.
