The developer is the Town Hall of the city of Las Palmas de
Gran Canaria as the manager of the Action Plan to replace
the properties located in El Polvorin, within the Suburb
Re-planning Agreement for the Canary Islands. The editing
team is the town hall’s Property Technical Department,
body which is also responsible for most of the new
developments for said replacement, and that participated
in the modification of the Special Interior Remodelling Plan
for the suburb of El Polvorin.
The plot of land object of this project, located between
the Carretera de Mata road and the suburb of El Polvorin,
is triangular in shape, has a steep slope, with a difference
between heights longitudinally of 7.30 m, and a total
surface of 2,710.57 m 2 .
In order to solve the significant difference of height from
one side of the plot of land to the other, a basement floor is
built as a garage (66 parking spaces and 40 storage rooms)
which occupy the whole surface of the plot of land and
divided into two floors. The section that looks toward the
ravine shows a façade, which is designed as footing that
adapts to the contour of the ravine and is only occasionally
interrupted with the appearance of the lift and stair shafts.
