The Jury highlight its integration with the surroundings, as well as the revaluation and potential given to
its urban design and surroundings, its capacity for regenerating the area, its singularity, modernity and
expression. In other words, its urban will and its effort in creating a city.
Rehabilitation y restoration:
• Castillo de la Luz Castle–Martín Chirino Foundation in La Isleta.

Due to its didactic and respectful nature in terms of showing and highlighting its heritage, it is capable
at the same time of building new architectural spaces; due to the capacity of the work of being respectful
towards the original geometry, exhibiting them, while giving way to new high-quality architecture;
because of the way that it respects heritage by analysing its values and giving them a new use; because
of its austerity and delicacy.

• Puzzle piece. Lomo de la Herradura, Telde.

Because of its strategic nature, whereby a small and limited piece is capable of building a new
atmosphere, activating the area and creating the conditions to put it into use; because of its capacity to
turn a patio into a new space, making a void space liveable.

Because of its respect toward the landscape and territory at the same time that it is capable of
restoring its use, recovering the area for the city. Because of its capacity to differentiate the work from
the landscape, whereby the work seems to be suspended from the cliff and floating on the beach, not
wanting to touch it.
