Concept:
The Integral Security Centre is located in a heterogeneous
environment which consists in an urban landscape of
marginal buildings, of explosive growth, that lack public
equipment.
In this context, the new building completes the
apparent volume of the block by means of a continuous
enveloping that defines the limits of the plot of land on
the top floor and opens up on the ground floor, offering
an urban space for encounters, thereby prolonging the
system of empty spaces in the surrounding area of La
Libertad Park.
The top floor of the centre houses the operational area,
with work spaces for each of the forces. The more private
areas are connected by a system of inside patios, which
represent the interior image of the building. This system is
articulated by a central ring of circulations that organizes
the building and establishes the routes by means of a
linear sequence of light and shadow.
The interspersed arrangement of the patios creates the
appearance of a unique work space that boosts the idea of
