Opening landscapes under the shadow of two floating
containers.
This property has been built on a plot of land which has
extremely particular conditions and it has been developed
as an answer to them. At the same time it aims to make
the most out of the garden area and the views of the
landscape while, at the same time, protecting the intimacy
of the dwellers.
The first peculiarity of the area is its location on the street
called Paseo de Chil, in the city of Las Palmas de Gran
Canaria. This street acts as an intermediate step between
the lower and upper city. A place which offers amazing
views over the urban sprawl down by the sea. However, the
land is subject to an important slope at its rear, it borders
with an extremely deteriorated property to the southeast
and, with an unbuilt Local Development Area to the
Northwest.
It has a surface of 350m 2 and has an irregular shape,
more of a trapezoidal shape. However, perhaps the most
challenging aspect was that the area had already been
completely excavated to street level when the project
was commissioned. In order to achieve the best views
