and transnational connections.
At the community and individual levels, the relationship
between migrants and societies relies on the ability to create space
to hear and tell new narratives of migration. Dialogues based on
trusting relationships and a commitment to mutual understanding
conducted in safe spaces can allow communities to address social
changes and concerns brought about by migration and, in the
process, empower them to transform themselves. In this way,
they can integrate migrant and non-migrant perspectives into a
common vision for a joint future.
