Summary
The communication provides an overview of the activities of the waste and soil
laboratory of the technical department of ARPA, Bologna. Sample treatment
requires particular attention to the sites the samples come from. This helps deciding
appropriate analytical research and improving the efficiency of resource use. Sample
types are varied, but they may be broadly grouped into two categories: waste
and soils. They are treated according to environmental law dlgs 152/06. Some subcategories
of these samples are regulated by regional laws.

Résumé
Cette communication donne un aperçu des activités du laboratoire des sols et des
déchets du département technique de la section ARPAD de Bologne. Le traitement
des échantillons exige de porter une attention particulière aux problèmes de leur
région d'origine afin d'adapter les analyses en vue d'améliorer l'efficacité de l'utilisation
des ressources. Les types d'échantillons sont variés, mais globalement regroupés
en deux catégories: les sols et les déchets. A niveau normatif, le traitement
de ces échantillons se fait en référence au texte de l'environnement (Décret
législatif 152/06 et succ. Mod.). Certaines sous-catégories de ces échantillons sont
réglementées par des lois régionales.

Riassunto
Il lavoro offre una panoramica sulle attività svolte dal laboratorio suolo rifiuti del
dipartimento tecnico della sezione di Bologna. Le matrici trattate richiedono una
particolare attenzione alle problematiche del territorio di provenienza per la contestualizzazione
delle indagini analitiche da svolgere e per migliorare l’efficienza
di utilizzo delle risorse. Le tipologie di campioni sono molteplici, ma sostanzial-
