Abstract
In this paper we present a brief description of the hydrological situation of running
waters in Piedmont, with a special emphasis on the results of two studies related to
the effect of temperature on the nymphal development of two typîcal mayflies of
the plain of the Po.

Résumé
Ce document est une brève description de la situation des cours d'eau dans le
Piémont, avec les résultats de deux études sur l'effet de la température sur le
développement nymphal de deux Ephemeropteres typique de la plaine du Po.

Ephemeroptera.
Riassunto
Nel presente lavoro viene presentata una breve descrizione della situazione idrica
dei corsi d’acqua piemontesi ed i risultati di due studi relativi l’effetto della
temperatura sullo sviluppo ninfale di due Efemerotteri tipici dei sistemi lotici della
pianura Padana.
