Araceae Descrizione/Plant description: . . . . . . . pianta erbacea perenne alta 25-40 centimetri provvista di rizomi tuberosi, priva di fusto aereo, le foglie e lo scapo fiorale crescono direttamente dai rizomi tuberosi. Foglie lungamente picciolate, ovato-sagittate di misure variabili, queste vengono apprezzate per le loro varietà di colorazioni dipendenti dalle varie cultivar, mentre non viene commercializzata la specie originale. Fiori su un lungo scapo provvisti di spata da bianca a verde che ricorda la struttura <strong>del</strong>la calla. Frutto: bacche biancastre.
