Practical tips and suggestions that can lead to a more homely and cosy atmosphere in the care homes
were proposed and drawn up per target group:
• what the seniors and their close relatives can do
• what the people working today in the care homes can (continue to) do
• what contributions policy-makers can make
• what the principals can do
• what the media can do
• what professional associations, (umbrella) organisations and projects that support the care homes
in their development can do.
And finally, 20 inspired initiatives were presented situating the context, the description of the initiative and
the impact, result and the vested change.
