Zbornik Mednarodnega literarnega srečanja Vilenica 2003 - Ljudmila

je eden najbolj znanih in uveljavljenih grških pisateljev v zadnjih desetletjih. Doslej je
objavil naslednje romane: Generacija ujetnikov, Kralj in kip (nagrada Atenske akademije),
Umori v Šparti (nagrada za prozo), Plešoèe drevo, Drevored v Pargi (nagrada Atenske
akademije), Zvezde v vodnjaku, V globeli škrjancev, Samotraške duše; tri zbirke novel: O
svetem bataljonu, Ples Omana Take (nagrada Atenske akademije) in Otroci.
Njegove igre so redno na programu grških in tujih gledališè. Napisal je tudi scenarije za
veè kot 30 filmov in jih 17 tudi sam režiral. Njegove knjige so prevedene v dvajset
jezikov. Je generalni sekretar grškega PENa in predsednik Centra za študij in preuèevanje
grškega gledališèa in Gledališkega muzeja.
Dobil je priznanje rancoske akademije, mednarodno nagrado "Premio Pirandello" in
Zlato medaljo mesta Aten.

recent decades. He has published the following novels: The Generation of Captives, The
King and The Statue (Athens Academy Award), Murders in Sparta (Prose Writing Award),
The Tree That Dances, The Alley of Parga (Athens Academy Award), The Well with the
Stars, In the Ravine of Larks, The Souls of Samothrace, and three short stories
collections: Of the Sacred Batallion, The Dance of Oman Taka (Athens Academy Award),
and The Children.
His plays are continually presented in theatres in Greece and abroad. In addition, he has
written the scenarios for more than 30 movies and has directed 17 of them.
His books have been translated into twenty languages. He is General Secretary of Greek
PEN, and the president of the Center for Study and Research of Greeg Theatre and
Theatre Museum.
He has been honored by rench Academy, he has won the International Prize "Premio
Pirandello" and The Gold Medall of the City of Athens.
