Professor Sir David Eastwood is also Chair of Universitas 21,
and the Universities Superannuation Scheme, a Board member
of Universities UK, and a member of the Arts & Humanities
Research Council and Advisory Board of the Higher Education
Policy Institute. Previous posts include Chief Executive of the
Higher Education Funding Council for England, Vice-Chancellor
of the University of East Anglia, Chief Executive of the Arts and
Humanities Research Council, and Fellow and Senior Tutor
of Pembroke College, Oxford. He has served on numerous
national bodies of the UK, was a member of the Government’s
Independent Review Panel looking at Higher Education Funding
and Student Finance, and more recently was a member of the
Advisory Group reviewing UK Research Councils.

Professor Horace Ip is the Vice-President and Chair Professor of
Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong. He is currently
the Vice-Chairman of Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching
Excellence (CEATE) Steering Committee and the Chairman
of CEATE Assessment Working Group. He has served on the
Steering Committee of the HKSAR Quality Education Fund and
chaired its Dissemination and Promotion Subcommittee. He has
also chaired the IEEE Computer Chapter (Hong Kong Section)
and the Discipline Advisory Panel on Information Engineering
of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. He is also a member
of Administrative Appeal Board, Advisory Committee on the
Education Development Fund, and Committee on Professional
Development of Teachers and Principals. He is a fellow of
the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers, the British Computer
Society, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and the
International Association for Pattern Recognition.
葉 豪 盛 教 授 現 任 香 港 城 市 大 學 副 校 長 及 該 校 電 腦 科 學 系 講 座 教
授 , 並 為 行 政 長 官 卓 越 教 學 獎 督 導 委 員 會 的 副 主 席 及 該 督 導 委 員
會 轄 下 評 審 工 作 小 組 的 主 席 。 他 曾 參 與 優 質 教 育 基 金 督 導 委 員 會
的 工 作 , 更 曾 任 該 督 導 委 員 會 轄 下 推 廣 及 宣 傳 專 責 委 員 會 主 席 。
葉 教 授 亦 曾 擔 任 電 機 及 電 子 工 程 師 學 會 (IEEE) 電 腦 支 部 香 港 分
會 主 席 及 香 港 工 程 師 學 會 資 訊 界 別 顧 問 小 組 主 席 。 葉 教 授 現 時 亦
是 行 政 上 訴 委 員 會 、 教 育 發 展 基 金 諮 詢 委 員 會 和 教 師 及 校 長 專 業
發 展 委 員 會 的 成 員 。 他 現 為 香 港 工 程 師 學 會 、 英 國 電 腦 學 會 、 工
程 及 科 技 學 會 及 國 際 模 式 識 別 協 會 的 資 深 會 員 。
