Professor Leung is Dean of Medicine at the HKU. He was
previously Head of Community Medicine in HKU (2012-2013)
and served as Director of the Chief Executive’s Office (2011-
2012) and Under Secretary for Food and Health (2008-2011) in
Government.
Professor Leung is one of Asia’s leading epidemiologists. His
research defined the epidemiology of two novel viral epidemics,
namely SARS-CoV in 2003 and influenza A(H7N9) in 2013. While
in government, he led Hong Kong’s policy response against the
2009 influenza A(H1N1) pandemic. He was inaugural Chair of
the Asia Pacific Observatory on Health Systems and Policies,
former Vice President of the Hong Kong College of Community
Medicine, and currently serves on the Council of the Hong Kong
Academy of Medicine and the Hospital Authority Board.

Dr Mak is a practising paediatrician. He is the Vice-Chairman
of the Council of St. Paul’s Co-educational College (2012-). He
is a Member of the Court of HKUST (2008-) and an Honorary
Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Paediatrics
and Adolescent Medicine, HKU (2001-). He was the former
Vice-Chairman of the Council of HKUST (2001-) and served as
a Member of the Hospital Governing Committee for Hong Kong
Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (1991-2001). He was the
Supervisor of St. Paul’s Co-educational College (1999-2010).
麥 醫 生 是 執 業 兒 科 專 科 醫 生 。 他 現 時 為 聖 保 羅 男 女 中 學 校 董 會 副
主 席 (2012-)、 香 港 科 技 大 學 顧 問 委 員 會 委 員 (2008-) 及 香 港
大 學 兒 童 及 青 少 年 科 學 系 榮 譽 臨 床 助 理 教 授 (2001-)。 他 曾 擔
任 香 港 科 技 大 學 校 董 會 副 主 席 (2001-), 以 及 香 港 紅 十 字 會 輸
血 服 務 中 心 管 治 委 員 會 成 員 (1991-2001)。 他 在 1999-2010 年 期
間 出 任 聖 保 羅 男 女 中 學 校 監 。
梁 教 授 是 亞 洲 頂 尖 的 流 行 病 學 專 家 。 在 2003 年 和 2013 年 , 他 的 研
究 分 別 確 立 了 兩 種 新 興 流 行 病 毒 的 流 行 病 學 — SARS 冠 狀 病 毒 和
甲 型 H7N9 流 感 病 毒 。 任 職 政 府 期 間 , 他 督 導 應 對 2009 年 的 甲 型
H1N1 流 感 大 流 行 。 他 是 亞 太 衞 生 系 統 和 政 策 信 息 觀 察 站 的 首 屆
主 席 、 前 香 港 社 會 醫 學 學 院 副 主 席 , 現 為 香 港 醫 學 專 科 學 院 院 務
委 員 會 及 醫 院 管 理 局 成 員 。
