Professor Benjamin Wah is currently the Provost and Wei
Lun Professor of Computer Science and Engineering of The
Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is the Franklin W. Woeltge
Emeritus Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering
at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is a
prominent computer scientist. He is a fellow of the Institute of
Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Association for
Computing Machinery, and the American Association for the
Advancement of Science and has served as President of IEEE
Computer Society.
He taught at Purdue University (1979-1985) and the University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1985-2011). He also served as
Director of the Advanced Digital Sciences Centre established by
the University of Illinois in Singapore in 2009, with funding from
the Singapore Government’s Agency for Science, Technology
and Research.
華 教 授 現 為 香 港 中 文 大 學 常 務 副 校 長 及 偉 倫 計 算 機 科 學 與 工 程 學
講 座 教 授 。 他 現 任 伊 利 諾 伊 大 學 厄 本 那 - 香 檳 分 校 電 機 及 計 算
機 工 程 學 系 Franklin W. Woeltge 榮 休 教 授 , 為 國 際 知 名 的 計 算 機
科 學 家 。 他 為 電 機 及 電 子 工 程 師 學 會 (IEEE)、 計 算 機 器 學 會
(ACM) 及 美 國 科 學 促 進 會 (AAAS) 院 士 , 並 曾 任 IEEE 計 算 機
學 會 會 長 。
華 教 授 曾 任 教 於 普 渡 大 學 (1979-1985) 及 伊 利 諾 伊 大 學 厄 本
那 - 香 檳 分 校 (1985-2011)。 他 亦 曾 於 2009 年 在 新 加 坡 擔 任 由
伊 利 諾 伊 大 學 成 立 與 新 加 坡 政 府 科 技 研 究 局 資 助 的 先 進 數 碼 科 學
中 心 的 總 監 。
Mr Leong has been the Chief Executive Officer (‘CEO’) and
a Member of the Board of Directors since March 2015 and a
Member of the Executive Directorate since 2002. Mr Leong
joined the Company in February 2002 as the Finance Director,
and was re-titled as the Finance & Business Development
Director in May 2008. He was appointed as the Deputy CEO in
July 2012 and the Acting CEO in August 2014. As the CEO, Mr
Leong is responsible for the Company’s overall performance
in and outside of Hong Kong. Prior to joining the Company, he
worked in the accountancy and investment banking industries
in London, Vancouver and Hong Kong. Mr Leong is a nonexecutive
director of Mandarin Oriental International Limited,
chairman of the QAC of the UGC, vice-chairman of The Hong
Kong Housing Society, and a vice-patron and a member of the
Board of Directors of The Community Chest of Hong Kong.
He was an independent non-executive director of Hong Kong
Aircraft Engineering Company Limited. Mr Leong holds a
Bachelor of Arts degree (subsequently a Master of Arts degree)
from the University of Cambridge. He later qualified as a
chartered accountant in England in 1985 and Canada in 1986.
Mr Leong is a chartered fellow of The Chartered Institute of
Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong. He is also a director of
some of the members of the Company’s group.
梁 先 生 自 2015 年 3 月 起 出 任 港 鐵 行 政 總 裁 及 董 事 局 成 員 , 並 自
2002 年 起 出 任 執 行 總 監 會 成 員 。 梁 先 生 於 2002 年 2 月 加 入 港 鐵 出
任 財 務 總 監 , 並 於 2008 年 5 月 , 他 的 職 銜 更 改 為 財 務 及 業 務 拓 展
總 監 。 他 分 別 於 2012 年 7 月 及 2014 年 8 月 獲 委 任 為 副 行 政 總 裁 及
署 理 行 政 總 裁 。 作 為 行 政 總 裁 , 梁 先 生 負 責 公 司 在 香 港 及 其 以
外 的 整 體 業 務 表 現 。 在 加 入 港 鐵 前 , 他 曾 分 別 在 倫 敦 、 溫 哥 華
及 香 港 任 職 會 計 及 投 資 銀 行 界 。 梁 先 生 現 任 Mandarin Oriental
International Limited 的 非 執 行 董 事 、 教 資 會 轄 下 質 保 局 的 主 席 、
香 港 房 屋 協 會 副 主 席 , 以 及 香 港 公 益 金 名 譽 副 會 長 及 董 事 會 成
員 。 他 曾 任 香 港 飛 機 工 程 有 限 公 司 的 獨 立 非 常 務 董 事 。 梁 先 生 持
有 劍 橋 大 學 文 學 學 士 學 位 ( 其 後 獲 得 文 學 碩 士 學 位 )。 他 其 後 分
別 於 1985 年 及 1986 年 成 為 英 國 及 加 拿 大 的 特 許 會 計 師 。 梁 先 生 是
香 港 運 輸 物 流 學 會 院 士 。 他 亦 為 若 干 港 鐵 公 司 集 團 成 員 的 公 司 董
事 。
