But Bratislava is also easily explored on foot.12.00 noon Time to absorb the morning’s impressions – bestdone in one of the Old Town’s many inviting eating establishments.For hearty Slovak cuisine served in an authenticatmosphere, we opt for the Slovak Pub.2.00 p.m. In the mood for a cup of coffee, we head for theheart of the Old Town and get cosy at Café Mayer: the traditionalcoffeehouse is famous for its pastries and cakes.3.30 p.m. Souvenirs, souvenirs – on the same square as CaféMayer, you’ll also find a number of little stands selling handmadetrinkets. More souvenir stands can be found in front ofthe National Theatre.6.00 p.m. Stroll along the Danube to the modern shoppingand entertainment complex Eurovea.
