A: STUDENTS WILL KNOW:
• The depth and scope of Japan’s
biological and chemical warfare
program.
B: STUDENTS WILL
UNDERSTAND THAT:
• Japan’s biological and chemical
program was similar to the
Nazi experiments done in
concentration camps in Europe.
• The U.S. and the U.S.S.R. were
interested in obtaining the results
of these experiments.
C: STUDENTS WILL BE
ABLE TO:
• Evaluate the reasons Japan
decided to develop biological and
chemical weapons in defi ance of
the Geneva Convention of 1925.
• Understand the importance of
eyewitness testimonies in studying
Japan’s biological and chemical
warfare.

weapons in China
